MTV Clip of Shane Acker’s “9″
Ever since I saw Shane Acker’s short film “9″ last year, I have been Spike Jonezing for the full length feature due in theaters on September 9th. For history’s sake, Acker’s computer animated short was nomiated for an Oscar in 2005 and if you haven’t seen the short film, watch it by following this link. If you haven’t seen the trailer for the movie, you can see it here. The film version is produced by Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov and, like the short, directed by Acker. It also has the voice talents of Elijah “Frodo” Wood, Jennifer Connelly, John C. Reilly, Crispin Glover, Martin Landeau and Christopher Plummer.

This does look pretty fascinating. Hearing the clip with famous voices (the original short was voiceless) is kinda weird, but adds a bit more tactility to the drama.
Still, this one ain’t for the kids.
