Trailer Tuesday: The Fourth Kind

September 8, 2009 Coming Soon, Trailer Tuesday 9 Comments

the-fourth-kind-owlMy wife watched the trailer for The Fourth Kind with me and said, “That looks stupid.” After she left, I got on the ground and rocked back and forth in the fetal position out of sheer terror. I also went and changed into an adult diaper before I decided to watch the trailer again. I realize the prospect of aliens existing or being little green men (or owls) is remote, but still, like M. Night Shyamalan’s Signs, that doesn’t mean the unexplained can’t scare the ever lovin’ beejeezuz out of me.

At any rate, The Fourth Kind stars Milla Jovovich (A Perfect Getaway) and is directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi. It hits theaters on November 6, 2009. Check out the trailer below and let us know your thoughts.

  2. Andy says:

That whole bit with the owl and the “actual” footage really made me have a shrunken sphincter and sweaty sweatpits. Very scary!

  3. Porthos says:

Now I can’t wait to go home tonight so I can check this trailer out. It’s been a long time since a movie actually gave me the creeps.

  4. Nick says:

Meh. The creepiest part about it was the nails scratching at the end. I hate it when that happens.

  5. Mari-Catherine says:

I dig scary movies and this made my heart skip a beat….oh baby this has to turn out good, right?

  6. Andy says:

I agree. I’m crossing my fingers this turns out to be as creepy as the trailer looks.

  7. kassandra says:

I hope that fear stricken humans don’t go ape shit on owls after the showing of The Fourth Kind. I do not think that film makers should be aloud to make monsters out of any living thing. Just remember the fear and hatred Jaws created around sharks. Our big and small acts of brutality and violence in the name of fear can be seen and remembered all over the globe, lets spread lessons of compassion and knowledge. And please vote with your dollar not your boredom at the box office to let Hollywood know we don’t want to be fed lies that sped fear like wild fire.

  8. Andy says:

Are you freaking kidding me, Kassandra? I think you have sipped a little bit too much of the PETA Kool-Aid.

    • Marangelis Perez says:

it’s just an owl, who in there right mind is going to go a wall over a movie…idk bout you but the movie was really good… i think i’m going to kill me some alien owls now!!!!

Movie Review: The Last Airbender (F)

By ANDY MORGAN There are very few movies I completely and utterly abhor. Generally, I can usually find something positive or likeable in a film, even if said cinema is receiving disgust and scorn en masse from most fall-in-line movie critics. I relish the truth that I don’t always see eye-to-eye with most critics and [...]

Movie Review: The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (B)

By ANDY MORGAN Making fun of Twilight fans and bemoaning Stephanie Meyer’s novels and the subsequent movies is almost as easy as drumming up sarcastic jabs about Lindsey Lohan, Paris Hilton or Miley Cyrus. There’s no effort required. It’s easy. And it’s also out of control. It’s almost as popular to dump on the vampire-werewolf [...]

Movie Review: The Last Airbender (C-)

By DAN VINTON If there’s one thing The Last Airbender does well, it proves any mystique surrounding M. Night Shaymalan is gone. With this coffin-bound nail, all residual goodwill The Sixth Sense director retained from followup successes like Unbreakable, Signs and even the creepy but fatally flawed The Village has been throttled by his is [...]
