Battle: Los Angeles Gives Me a Viagra Moment

I’m 36 and I don’t need Viagra, but after watching this trailer, I’m pretty sure this is what it’s like to have one of those four-hour problems where there is no chance in hell you’d walk into a hospital emergency room looking for assistance. That’s right, let me introduce you to the coolest trailer for a movie with the lamest name – Battle: Los Angeles. The plot is obvious – aliens have arrived and ready to annihilate the human race – and the trailer is nothing short of 100 percent awesome, but the question is prudent: Will audiences have any interest in seeing another aliens invade movie? From what I’m seeing via reviews and box office reports, audiences aren’t galloping in droves to catch Skyline this weekend (which, if you’re Sony Pictures, you might call karma). However, Skyline is built on FX and boasts a cast of Syfy Channel rejects, whereas Battle: Lost Angeles stars Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight), Michelle Rodriguez (Avatar), Bridget Moynahan (Ramona and Beezus) and Michael Péna (Observe and Report). Not exactly a cast of world-class thesps, but definitely more recognizable and trust-inspiring than Skyline.

Check out the trailer after the jump. Battle: Los Angeles hits theaters on March 11, 2011.
