It’s Pixar, Woody, Buzz and the whole gang of toys back for a third installment and I know I should be excited, but I’m not. I understand Pixar and Disney don’t want to sell the farm story-wise on the first feature trailer, but this preview just doesn’t get me revved up to see Toy Story 3. In fact, it kind of irritates me the studio imagines the fumes from Toy Story and Toy Story 2 are potent enough for a so-so two minute clip to cause me wet myself out of excitement and anticipation. Maybe I’m Scrooge on this one, because I didn’t like the first poster either, but I would have loved to see some airtime for the new voice talent attached to TS3, i.e. Michael Keaton (The Merry Gentelman), Whoopi Goldberg (TV’s The View) and Timothy Dalton (Hot Fuzz). I suppose the new poster (see above) is better, so that’s a positive.
