Movie Review: Bridesmaids (A-)

I should, by all accounts, have a secret celebrity crush on Jessica Biel or Brooklyn Decker – you know, a blonde or brunette knockout with a drool-worthy body and the kind of smoldering face that magnetizes you in some kind of lustful tractor beam. But guess what? I don’t. In fact, other than a slight infatuation with Olivia Wilde (but only in her Tron: Legacy get-up), my secret celebrity crush is Kristen Wiig. There. I said it and I don’t

Please, Bridesmaids, Don’t Let Me Down

MacGruber cut me deep last May. It cut me real deep. Trailer Tuesday: Get Him to the Greek

The first trailer for the upcoming Jonah Hill (Funny People) and Russell Brand (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) comedy, Get Him to the Greek, premiered last week and on first watch it looks to be pretty damn funny. On the other hand,

Trailer Tuesday: Funny People

Every Tuesday I’ll have a trailer up on the blog – it could be something from the past, something currently in theaters or something coming soon, either way it’ll be a nice game of cinematic Russian roulette. Last night, as I sat on the couch with my aching tummy, I watched “Knocked Up” on HBO (even though I have it on DVD) and I realized, as I always do when I see something Judd Apatow has written and directed, that
