AFTER EARTH Trailer and Poster Make No Mention of Shyamalan…and Rightly So!

When your last two movies are the nauseating THE HAPPENING and the sack-punching THE LAST AIRBENDER, you do not, under any circumstances, use your name in the marketing material for promoting your movie. You keep it tucked away in the small print where nobody will ever know. Such is the case with M. Night Shyamalan and his new movie, AFTER EARTH, starring Will and Jaden Smith, and rightly so. After building some clout with critical and commercial successes such as THE

Third Men in Black Movie Just Got More Enticing…But Not Really

Remember how Men in Black, starring Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith, was an awesome movie and a nice summer surprise back in 1997? Remember how its sequel, Men in Black II, was pure crap? Smith and Lawrence are locks for a

Hancock? II? Really?

Yes, really. Apparently, the sequel nobody really cares to see as based of the $624 million grossing movie everyone’s forgotten about (besides remembering it stunk) is being wormed toward a green light. Sony/Columbia has hired The Shield writers Adam Fierro and Glen Mazzara to work up a script for the sequel to the project originally titled, yes, Tonight, He Comes. What does that mean? Hm. Nothing beyond the looming prospect of having your ears and eyes punished all over again.
