The Curious Case of a Mr. Nobody Trailer

Ok, so I totally ripped this sucker straight from, but I’m making no apologies because the trailer for Mr. Nobody looks intriguing to say the least and fantastic to say the most.

Intriguing because Jared Leto looks normal and sympathetic and fantastic because the premise– what if we never made ANY choices and could thus enjoy every possible outcome of our lives?– is so potentially rich. Is there a person alive who’s not had to make a choice and wonder if it was the right one or where it might have lead (except for maybe the Dos Equis guy) ?

The Mr. Nobody trailer may feel reminiscent of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, but it still comes off with a tangible depth and wishful insight that stands out amidst the summer season’s glut of bombasticism. If I had to mark it, Mr. Nobody had my interest at the unexpectedly poignant moment the young boy breaks away from his father to go after his mother. Good effective stuff.

Mr. Nobody is a Belgian film with no US release date (yet) on the horizon, but I’m sure that will change soon enough.

Judge for yourself:

  • Jared Leto’s the man, just saw him in that flick of the guy who shoots John Lennon..creepy man, he was pretty amazing.

Loved him in The Panic Room.

  • Jared Leto sucks the sweat off a dead man’s balls. He’s overrated and a primadonna. Plus, his band is also overrated and comprised of equally primadonna-esque doucheys. And “The Panic Room” automatically sucks because it has Forest Whittaker in its cast.

  • Andy’s feelin’ fiery tonight! Batten down the hatches!
