The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo Looks Absolutely Fincheriffic

Even though goodreads.com will show you I’ve been stuck on page 225 of Stieg Larsson’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo since February 20, I must admit, after seeing this bootleg trailer for director David Fincher’s forthcoming movie, I’m a little more apt to put down my Call of Duty: Black Ops controller and put my shoulder to the wheel and push through the last 365 pages. The trailer below makes it look like butt-puckering goodness from page one to page 590, but I’ll be honest, it’s been slow going.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo boasts a first-rate cast, including Daniel Craig (Cowboys and Aliens), Rooney Mara (The Social Network), Robin Wright (The Conspirator), Stellan Skarsgård (Thor), Christopher Plummer (The Last Station) and Joely Richardson (The Last Mimzy). As I said before, the movie is directed by David Fincher and that, aside from the cast, is what has my interest piqued. Fincher is the real deal and his movies (The Social Network, Zodiac, Seven, Fight Club) are always rich with detail, mood and have the acting and pacing to keep you rivited.

Check out the red band trailer below and let me know your opinion. Have you read the book?

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo comes to theaters December 21, 2011.

  • Stupid Sony blocking the trailer…. If it was the same trailer I saw yesterday during X-Men, it looks 100% awesome. Even if I hadn’t read the books, that trailer alone would have sold me on the film.
