I both love and loathe Star Wars. I love the original trilogy and I fondly remember the anticipation I had for the prequels (an anticipation that diminished and eventually died with each passing prequel). But I also hate Star Wars because of George Lucas’ molesting of the story, characters and entire universe. Say what you want, but it went from nice and tidy with an element of mystery, to ridiculously obtuse with each character and mystery explained and categorized. I’ll stop there, because I could go on and on and on. Yeah, yeah – I know, I know, stop complaining. Whatever. Cram it up your cornhole. I can be pissed if I want.
With my childhood memories shattered, I find solace in the arms of the recent spoofs of the Star Wars universe, such as Robot Chicken Star Wars and The Family Guy’s take on Star Wars: A New Hope, called Blue Harvest. The trailer below is for The Family Guy’s sequel to Blue Harvest, a parody of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, called Something, Something, Something, Dark Side.
Originally SSDS was supposed to air as the finale to season seven of The Family Guy, however it is currently set for season eight, but as of now is unscheduled. Fans of the parodies can pick up SSDS on DVD and Blu-ray on December 22, 2009. And fans of me can send it to me for Christmas and reap the bounteous blessings of the holiday season. At any rate, I’m writing this as Monday comes to a close and considering Monday can suck my lightsaber, I leave you with this trailer. Good night and good luck.

I just don’t get the allure of The Family Guy. Lame.
I did laugh at the “Dak” part, but the rest strikes me as uninspired and retreaded lameness. Kind of like the first one.
I have a fowl sense of humor and i cant stand family guy.
I remember when the simpsons was cutting edge potty humor on television and family guy takes it to the next level just for the sake of..taking it to the next level.
Its lame and shitty, and even though im a 39yr old bachelor/overgrown kid, this show pisses me off cause i know theres millions of kiddies watching this garbage and thinking this is what comedy is about.
