We at Andy at The Movies – and by we, I mean me (and the Utah Film Critics Association) have long admired Rose Byrne. Back in 2015, the UFCA awarded her Best Supporting Actress for her hilarious and scene-stealing turn in SPY, because greatness deserves recognition, even if mainstream Hollywood and other lesser piquant film critics groups forgets to send flowers.
Now, she’s back in the offbeat and darkly comic IF I HAD LEGS I’D KICK YOU, and once again, she’s absolutely magnetic. The trailer teases an absurdly heartfelt tale, blending deadpan humor with aching vulnerability. Byrne’s timing is flawless, and if there’s any justice in the world, this film will put her back in awards conversations.
Funny, weird, and wonderfully human, IF I HAD LEGS I’D KICK YOU might just kick you right in the feels. Check out the trailer if you please. Oh, and feel free to browse other trailers while you’re trailering on this fine day.
