A masterclass in tone, pacing, and emotional punch, it might just be the first true Oscar contender of 2025. I mean it’s a deep south gangster vampire movie. That’s a whole new genre thanks to Coogler.

Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo are now officially on my shortlist for Best Actor and Supporting Actor, and it’s only April. Add a soundtrack that could drop the mic all on its own, and SINNERS isn’t just a great movie – it’s a full-sensory experience.
