THUNDERBOLTS* is the best Marvel movie since ENDGAME. It’s a sharp, character-driven team-up that finally brings some emotional weight and moral murkiness back to the MCU. I broke it all down on today’s KVNU For the People Movie Show.

That said, while the opening weekend numbers appear to be strong, any sign of early box-office fatigue – like we saw with CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD – might be a sign that general audiences are starting to feel some cape fatigue. If that happens, James Gunn’s SUPERMAN, hitting theaters on July 11th, 2025, will be the next mile marker for whether superhero movies are out of gas or if folks are just tired of 17 years of nonstop MCU.
