Utah Film Critics Association 2025 Awards: Winners Announced

Salt Lake City, UT – The Utah Film Critics Association met on Saturday, January 17, 2026, for its annual meeting to vote on the year’s finest achievements in filmmaking for 2025.

Winners spread across multiple films this year, with Sinners claiming four awards, Sorry, Baby securing three, and both Warfare and Weapons earning two each.

Sorry, Baby was the big winner, taking Best Picture alongside Best Achievement in Directing and Best Screenplay for Eva Victor. Sinners shone in acting categories, with Michael B. Jordan earning Best Lead Performance, Male; Delroy Lindo winning Best Supporting Performance, Male; and the full cast recognized for Best Ensemble.

Amy Madigan took two awards for WeaponsBest Supporting Performance, Female, and the Vice/Martin Award for Performance in a Science-Fiction, Fantasy, or Horror FilmWarfare excelled in technical crafts, winning Best Sound and Best Film Editing.

The Utah Film Critics Association is made up of Utah-based film journalists contributing to print, broadcast and online outlets.
